28 WEEKS. Third trimester, YIPPIE!
It's here, its here. I am very excited to be in the third trimester, although I am terrified of my sons recovery and I just wish we didn't have to go through this. Why us? Why my family? Why my baby? These are questions ill remain asking myself, others, god and everyone forever. It's so worth the fight but why us.
It's hard to cope sometimes with the reality that my helpless child has to go through this, I would take it all from him in a heartbeat if I could but I cant. So I am trying to remain strong for my other kids, for Kaiden but for me I cant do it. This is all really hard. Reality is in 9 weeks from today I will have this baby, if he isn't here any sooner. Scary and sad.
Today, they weighed me, checked my blood pressure and got me into the high risk ob room and I was given my nasty ORANGE GLUCOSE drink. I had to have done. Oh that drink was nasty. About 15 minutes later my ob came in we talked, discussed my appointment Monday. Discussed that I would be getting my DTAP next appointment and now I would be visiting every 2 weeks, 2 week ultrasounds and have non stress test. The end is near.
Kaiden's heartbeat was 156 today, sounded great. Never gets old hearing that sound. I also had her fill out a paper for me to get a care package from Avery's Angels which is the gastroschisis awareness group. I asked about the concern I had about his percentile dropping from 51 to 25 in 1 month and she assured me this was noted and they are watching him. Next appointment is a fluid check ultrasound then 2 weeks after that we would do a weight check (i would be 32 weeks then) if his growth isn't doing great we would be discussing options on possibly taken Kaiden earlier then later. Then she stepped out and brought two more doctors back in they just had me confirm what the next steps were and I was sent to get my next appointment scheduled then to get my blood drew.
I scheduled my 30 week appointment for April 9 at 930am. then had my blood drew from my glucose testing, and they also drew extra tubes for our research study we signed up for a month ago also.
